BAKE SALE AT LEWES HISTORICAL SOCIETY CRAFT FAIR
The Lewes Historical Society hosts two Fairs every year, this year being its 28th year of successful shows. Of the many events hosted by the Society, the Craft Fair is very well known for the quality of the Craftspeople and the attendance of visitors. The summer show was July 11, 2015 and the autumn show was scheduled for October 3, 2015 (that show was postponed because of bad weather). Both of these shows are one-day, outdoor events. The Craft Fair is a fundraising event for the Lewes Historical Society, with over 80 craftspeople exhibit a variety of media in a unique setting.
A festive atmosphere is created with live music, food, and refreshments. Visitors enjoy a day of crafts, food and fun in the beautiful setting of The Lewes Historical Society grounds.
The Village Improvement Association participates as a vendor during this craft fair, offering a variety of home baked goods to visitors. Also for sale are our cookbooks, in third edition, offering favorite recipes from our members. Come, enjoy a tasty treat, or take home delicious baked goods for the family. All proceeds support local charities through the VIA.
The members of the Village Improvement Association provided baked goods for sale at the Lewes Historical Society Craft Show. Shown selling some of the items are (left to right): Carolyn Shriver, Mary Ann Waelde, Joyce McCoy, and Roxanne Nelson.
Proceeds from the event will benefit charities of the organization.
