St. Nicholas Tea 2010
The Village Improvement Association (VA) held its 5th annual St. Nicholas Tea and Sleigh Boutique on Friday and Saturday, November 12 and 13 at its clubhouse at Grenoble Place and the Boardwalk.
Guests were greeted by co-chairmen Rose Marie Patin and Jennice McCarty. Many attendees arrived early to shop 'The Boutique' filled with crafts from area vendors and baskets created by the event committee. Tea tables were unique in design. Each table was created by VIA members and was adorned with festive Holiday china and centerpieces. The pic-a-dilly lady delighted young and old alike with her pockets of surprises.
Red Hat clubs and neighborhood friends attended the teas as did family groups. Saturday afternoon's tea was dedicated to Grandmothers, Mothers and Daughters. Members of Girl Scout Troops 1482 and 638 enjoyed special time with their Mothers.
The VIA is a civic and charitable organization founded in 1909 and is a member of GFWC-Delaware State Federation of Women's Clubs. Proceeds from the Tea will benefit local charities of the VIA.
