VILLAGE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION
HOSTS SEVENTH ANNUAL ST. NICHOLAS TEA AND SLEIGH BOUTIQUE
The Village Improvement Association (VIA), a non-profit charitable organization, is hosting their seventh annual St. Nicholas Tea and Sleigh Boutique but this year because the VIA Clubhouse is undergoing a much needed expansion, the popular event will be held at the Rehoboth Beach Fire House banquet room Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10, 2012. Both days will feature the formal Victorian high tea with seatings at 11 AM and 2 PM with the Mother, Daughter, Grandmother tea being held during the Saturday event at 2 pm. Tickets are $25 per person, $15 for children ages 13 and under and reservations are required. The public is invited to attend. For first come, first served reservations please call Ann Case at 302-227-2416.
“We are very grateful to the Rehoboth Beach Fire House for the use of their beautiful banquet room,” said VIA President Carolyn Billingsley. “The St. Nicholas Tea is such a beloved event, we are happy to have the larger space the firehouse offers. This way we should be able to accommodate everyone who wishes to attend the tea.” Tea Chair Anne Jack said, “The additional space will be so much better for our guests as well as the vendors and shoppers. In the past it could become a little crowded but here there is plenty of room to shop for that special gift.”
Once again this year, the tea will feature door prizes at each seating, table favors for all, food prepared by VIA members with some recipes from the VIA cookbook and served by cheerful VIA volunteers. The event will also include the delightful, roaming Pick–a-Dilly Lady with mystery gift bags in her apron pockets. The Sleigh Boutique will offer beautiful themed gift baskets created by talented VIA volunteers. Vendors and local artists will have their juried booths open for sales each day at 10 am, during intermission of service, as well as from 3:30 to 4 pm.
The St. Nicholas Tea and Sleigh Boutique is a major fundraising event for the Village Improvement Association and proceeds raised help to provide charitable contributions to various local charities in support of local needs. For tea reservations please call Ann Case at 227-2416.
