Membership

As a member of the Village Improvement Association (VIA), you also become a member of the state organization GFWC Delaware (GFWC-DE) and the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), an international group of women volunteers with a historic legacy and continuing tradition of community service. The local membership requirements include:

• prospective member must have one sponsor before attending first VIA general membership meeting. An eligible sponsor is a current member with at least a one year membership in the VIA who has not sponsored another member in the last twelve months.
• attendance at an orientation session with her sponsor
• attendance at two regular monthly meetings
• payment of annual dues
• approval by the VIA Executive Board
