2017 Delaware Recipient of GFWC Jennie Award

VIA member Jan Conant was the Delaware recipient of the GFWC Jennie Award at the 120th Convention of the GFWC Delaware State Federation of Women’s Clubs held May 17- 19.

Although the General Federation of Women’s Clubs has many awards for states and clubs, the GFWC Jennie Award is the only national honor that recognizes individual members for personal excellence.

The award honors outstanding commitment to club, community and family. Recipients are nominated by their club, and compete at state, region and national levels for the Federation’s highest honor. The Jennie Award highlights extraordinary clubwomen who epitomize GFWC founder Jane Cunningham Croly’s spirit of independence, courage and persistence in purpose. Jan has been a member of GFWC for 26 years.
