BENEFITS OF BEQUESTS
A charitable bequest in your will, trust, or other estate plans can provide lasting support to the VIA while conserving your family’s inheritance and avoiding taxation. This type of giving is recognized and rewarded by tax laws, and with careful planning can maximize your legacy. Your lawyer or estate planner can help you decide how to best remember the Village Improvement Association.
Keep in mind:

  • Charitable bequests may be stated in terms of a percentage of the estate, or as a residue of the estate.

  • reap attractive tax savings benefits,
  • establish your legacy and
  • benefit future generations.
