Holiday Gift Giving 2021

As we approach the holidays, let us remember those who may be forgotten. Following our efforts of the past several years, we will collect donations of $20 or as much as you can give. All amounts will be gratefully accepted. Donations support the purchase of gifts for displaced teens (homeless or in foster care) who are identified by Cape Henlopen High School. We will also give to elderly residents of Renaissance Nursing Home who do not have family support.

The teens will receive Cape spiritwear of a T-shirt and pants, Walmart and McDonald’s gift cards and candy. The Renaissance residents will receive Dollar General gift cards. All gifts will be wrapped and delivered to the school and nursing home in December.

Your $20 donations have always allowed us to be very generous in the past, and we hope you will want to contribute again this year.

In 2023, our members volunteered 23,204.5 hours to our projects and donated $41,825.05 of their own money as Gifts in Kind. Members collected over $2,000 for gift cards and clothes to donate to high school students and seniors in nursing facilities. Thanks to our fundraising events and the public’s support of those events, we were able to donate $57,703.46 to our charities.
